2019 Holiday Service Dates

DC Recycling Systems recognizes six holidays per year. Service will not take place on these recognized holidays.

If the holiday falls on or before your regular weekly collection day, the collection day will be postponed by one day.  Friday services are always done on Saturday.

• Tuesday, January 1, 2019 – New Year’s Day
  • Collection services for Monday, 12/31/18 will NOT be postponed.
    • Tuesday through Friday collection service will be postponed by one day.
• Monday, May 27, 2019 – Memorial Day
  • Collection services will be postponed by one day for the entire week.
• Thursday, July 4, 2019 – Independence Day
  • Collection services on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will NOT be postponed.
  • Thursday and Friday collection service will be postponed by one day.
• Monday, September 2, 2019 – Labor Day
  • Collection services will be postponed by one day for the entire week.
• Thursday, November 28, 2019 – Thanksgiving Day
  • Collection services on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will NOT be postponed.
  • Thursday and Friday collection service will be postponed by one day.
• Wednesday, December 25, 2019 – Christmas Day
  • Collection services on Monday and Tuesday will NOT be postponed.
  • Wednesday, Thursday and Friday collection service will be postponed by one day.
